Temp to Hire Pay $22 an hour Monday through Friday Accounting Specialist (Property Tax & Payroll) We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Tax & Payroll Accounting Specialist to support property tax administration, payroll processing, cash management, fixed assets, and general accounting functions. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in property tax administration, property tax accounting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, or general accounting who are looking to grow their career in a stable, professional office environment. Key Responsibilities Process property tax payments, refunds, supplemental taxes, and tax notices. Maintain property tax databases and communicate with property owners and county agencies. Assist with property tax budgeting and reporting. Record cash receipts, cash disbursements, and intercompany transactions. Process fixed asset purchases, disposals, and related accounting records. Prepare journal entries, audit schedules, and financial support reports. Review and process payroll, timekeeping records, payroll adjustments, garnishments, and payroll reconciliations. Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide backup support for payroll operations. Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and accounting experience considered. Experience with payroll, property taxes, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or general accounting preferred. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment Full-time, on-site position. Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
