full-time About the Role CPM-LA is a Los Angeles-based multifamily property management company overseeing a portfolio of residential communities across the region. We're looking for a detail-driven Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day accounting operations-from bank deposits and reconciliations to journal entries and month-end close. Reporting to the Controller, this role keeps our financial records accurate, timely, and compliant, and works closely with the broader accounting team to keep the portfolio running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Post and reconcile daily bank deposits. Perform account reconciliations and account analysis. Investigate and resolve bank reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner. Reconcile and record corporate credit card transactions. Assist with maintenance work order billing and related accounting records. Process intercompany and employee expense reimbursements accurately and on schedule. Prepare and post journal entries with a high degree of accuracy and proper supporting documentation. Assist with month-end closing activities and general ledger reconciliations. Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger accounting. Highly proficient in preparing, analyzing, and posting journal entries with accuracy and proper supporting documentation. Demonstrated ability to prepare recurring, adjusting, accrual, prepaid, depreciation, and correcting journal entries. Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes. Experience reconciling general ledger accounts and researching discrepancies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. General ledger / staff accounting experience. Software & Education Proficient with QuickBooks. Experience with AppFolio property management software preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience). Pay $25-$28 hour Full time
