Job Description
Description We are looking for a Bookkeeper to support a busy law firm in Los Angeles, California. This position will oversee day-to-day financial records, maintain accurate reconciliations, and help ensure dependable reporting across key accounting activities. The ideal candidate brings strong bookkeeping experience, confidence working in QuickBooks Enterprise, and a solid understanding of financial processes in a services environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including recording transactions and maintaining organized financial records for the firm.
- Perform trust account reconciliations and prepare related reports in accordance with legal and financial recordkeeping standards.
- Process vendor invoices and payments while ensuring accounts payable activity is accurate and completed on time.
- Monitor incoming payments, post receipts, and maintain accounts receivable balances with careful attention to detail.
- Reconcile business bank accounts on a regular basis to confirm accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Review and balance corporate credit card activity, verifying charges and matching expenses to supporting documentation.
- Use QuickBooks Enterprise to maintain ledgers, track account activity, and support consistent financial reporting. Requirements
- At least 2 years of law firm bookkeeping experience
REQUIRED
- Experience handling trust accounting and related reconciliation activities
REQUIRED
- Hands-on experience using QuickBooks, including QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Strong working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Proven ability to complete bank and credit card reconciliations accurately.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential financial information in a detail-focused setting.
