Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing the data entry for the accounts receivable department. This role supports the finance department by maintaining organized records, resolving discrepancies, and delivering excellent internal and external customer service. Job Description The Accounts Receivable Specialist manages a high volume of customer accounts with a focus on keeping accounts current, accurately applying payments, and resolving billing issues. This role emphasizes returns, credits, reconciliations, and general ledger postings rather than heavy collections, and involves regular interaction with customers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions. Responsibilities Scanning, filing, data entry Use the credit file and computer-generated payment status and history reports as primary source materials to identify accounts delinquent more than 13 days past the regular payment due date and work to bring those accounts current and maintain them in good standing. Review order details to identify payment issues and determine appropriate handling for accounts with discrepancies or disputes. Review and handle chargeback claims, including gathering supporting documentation, filing information, and coordinating resolution with appropriate parties. Print daily invoices from the accounting system and ensure they are accurate and ready for distribution. Review and process customer returns, including handling 5-10 returns per day, and manage the associated credits, reconciliations, and refunds. Manage a workload of approximately 50-100 transactions per day and contribute to the accurate processing of a large annual transaction volume. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxnard, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
