testing and implementation activities, capital asset accounting processes, and year-end close support as the division continues to modernize accounting operations and transition to new financial systems. Department The Administrative Services Department (ASD) provides analytical, organizational, and administrative support for a wide variety of projects throughout the organization. The Department prides itself on a high-level of customer service to decision-makers, the public, employees, and other departments in the City. ASD records, monitors, and protects the City's assets through essential financial management, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting. ASD's divisions include Accounting, the Office of Management and Budget, Purchasing, Treasury, Real Estate, Revenue Collections, Stores and Administration. SAP S/4HANA
transition and implementation activities related to general ledger, financial reporting, and capital asset accounting processes, including process documentation, system testing, validation, and workflow improvements. Support capital asset and construction-in-progress accounting processes, including reconciliations, analysis, settlements and year-end close activities.

Knowledge of capital asset accounting and CIP accounting processes preferred. Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems, including experience with financial modules and reporting tools. Ability to analyze financial data and resolve accounting discrepancies. Ability to prepare and maintain complex spreadsheets, reports, and supporting schedules. Ability to learn and support new accounting systems and automated processes. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Minimum Qualifications Education, training and/or work experience which demonstrate possession of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities which would typically be acquired through: Two years' experience in accounting or financial reporting experience, preferably in governmental or enterprise fund accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with
SAP ECC, SAP
S/4HANA, or similar ERP systems. Experience with SAP testing, financial system implementations, or process improvements. Experience with capital asset accounting, CIP accounting, and year-end financial close processes. Experience working in a governmental agency or utility environment preferred.
