Job Description

Accounting Specialist - Summary The Accounting Specialist supports the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support monthly close activities Maintain ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and financial schedules Perform general ledger analysis and account reconciliations Assist with regulatory reporting, budgeting, and monthly billing Support vendor issue resolution and credit card transaction tracking Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and accounting standards Maintain confidentiality of financial and payroll information Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance preferred or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years of accrual accounting experience preferred Healthcare accounting experience preferred Experience with AccuFund Accounting Software preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of basic accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Ability to analyze data, meet deadlines, and work independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Requirements:
FBI and DOJ fingerprint clearance Negative TB test and drug screening Valid government-issued
ID Physical & Work Requirements:
Must be able to perform office duties requiring mobility, communication, and computer use, including lifting up to 10 lbs and performing repetitive administrative tasks.
Dress Code:
Business casual attire required. No ripped or athletic wear, open-toed shoes, or revealing clothing. Professional appearance and hygiene are expected at all times.
Pay:
$24.85 per hour
