Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract-to-Hire) Riverside, CA $24-$27/hour Construction Industry | Onsite About the Role We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis . This role is fully onsite in Riverside and requires prior construction industry AP experience . The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a high volume of invoices while maintaining accuracy and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities Process high-volume accounts payable invoices, including job cost coding and purchase order matching. Review, verify, and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy with contracts, purchase orders, and receipts. Handle subcontractor and vendor payments , including lien waivers, progress billings, and retainage when applicable. Manage weekly payment runs via ACH, check, and credit card. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain organized and accurate AP files for audits and month-end close. Collaborate with project managers and the accounting team to resolve invoice or job cost issues. Assist with accruals and support month-end and year-end close processes. Qualifications 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience , with at least 1 year in the construction industry (required). Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems; experience with construction-specific software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar) is a plus. Strong knowledge of job cost coding and AP best practices. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in Accounting or related field preferred.
Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate:
$24-$27/hour (depending on experience).

Full-time, onsite in Riverside, CA. Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term growth.
