In this vital role, you will manage the full cycle of accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with financial standards. Your expertise will help maintain healthy cash flow and support the organization's financial health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse accounting software and financial concepts, contributing to a collaborative and energetic environment. Responsibilities Process and monitor incoming payments through various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other financial tools. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of receivables and identify discrepancies promptly. Manage collections by contacting customers via phone, email, or written correspondence, employing negotiation skills to resolve overdue accounts efficiently. Maintain detailed records of transactions, adjustments, and correspondence in compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Collaborate with other departments such as accounts payable, medical billing, and revenue cycle management to ensure seamless financial operations. Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries related to receivables and performing analysis of aging reports. Support audit processes by providing documentation and explanations related to accounts receivable activities. Experience Proven experience in accounts receivable functions within a corporate or public accounting environment. Strong familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms. Knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, and account reconciliation. Experience working with medical billing, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, or governmental accounting is a plus. Demonstrated ability to analyze data accurately using analysis skills and attention to detail. Excellent negotiation skills combined with professional phone etiquette for effective customer service interactions. Ability to perform data entry efficiently using 10 key typing skills while maintaining accuracy.
