Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper & Office Assistant to support our financial health and daily operations. In this hybrid role, you will manage essential financial transactions while providing critical administrative support to the management team. This role is the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring our finances are accurate and our office runs smoothly. You'll be the go-to person for everything from reconciling accounts to keeping our administrative systems organized. Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using accounting software QuickBooks including data entry, account reconciliation, and ledger maintenance.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Manage vendor invoices, process payments, and oversee client billing and collections Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to ensure financial accuracy
Reporting:
Generate weekly or monthly financial snapshots for the management team. Assist with payroll processing if need it and related tax compliance activities Support general office functions such as filing, scheduling, correspondence, and supply management Generate financial reports and assist with budgeting activities to support organizational planning Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while ensuring compliance with governmental accounting standards for non-profit or corporate entities
General Coordination:
Assist management with scheduling, light project coordination, and other administrative tasks as they arise.
Experience Experience:
2+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or combined administrative role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
Attributes:
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks independently. Trustworthy and capable of handling sensitive financial data. Clear, professional communication style. Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliation Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and tax regulations is a plus Experience with bank reconciliation, payroll processing, and financial report writing is highly desirable We value motivated individuals eager to grow their skills in a rewarding role that combines essential office functions with comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities.
