Job Description

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for an organization based in California. This is a long-term contract opportunity scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week, ideal for someone who can maintain accurate records and keep accounting processes running smoothly. The person in this role will manage core bookkeeping activities, work confidently in QuickBooks, and help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Record and maintain financial transactions with a high level of accuracy across routine bookkeeping activities.
  • Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and track outgoing obligations to support efficient accounts payable operations.
  • Issue customer invoices, monitor incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances as part of accounts receivable management.
  • Reconcile bank and financial account activity regularly to identify discrepancies and keep records current.
  • Update and organize accounting data in QuickBooks to support reliable reporting and audit readiness.
  • Review entries and supporting documentation to help ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper classification of transactions.
  • Assist with ongoing accounting process needs and related financial record maintenance as business requirements evolve.
