Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
: This position reports to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for assisting her in the day-to-day support functions for the smooth and efficient operation of our company.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
1. Oversee accounting of assigned team portfolio- Monthly preparation of accurate financial statements to property owners
- Ongoing communications as needed with o Property Owners o Property Supervisors o Tenants o Vendors 2. Pay and keep track of mortgage payments 3. Ability to manage multiple bank accounts 4. Bank Reconciliations
- (daily, weekly, monthly) as assigned 5. Daily monitoring of property funds to ensure positive balances 6. Data entry of rent increases and tenant charges as needed 7. Accounts Receivables
- Posting receivables direct to property Check scanning of tenant rent as needed Ledger troubleshooting as needed 8.
- as needed 10. Data entry of new tenants/new leases as needed 11. Assist Director with Vendor 1099 as needed 12. Miscellaneous projects as assigned 13. Banking errands as needed 14. Seasonal
- Overtime work as needed during IV turnover Other duties may be assigned by supervisor from time to time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None.WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
Non-exempt position, company office hours are Monday- Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 1-story A/C building.
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma and minimum of two years college or high school diploma and minimum of four years' experience. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.SKILLS/ABILITIES/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. The ability to deal effectively with people and work well under pressure. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis in Excel. Rent Manager experience preferred. Excellent communication and writing skills. Ability to operate standard office machinery. Valid driver's license and own transportation. Must be honest and dependable.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, standing, walking, use of keyboard periodically for extended periods of time.Job Type:
