Mid-Level (2-5+ years preferred) About the Role We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented AR/AP Specialist to join our growing construction company based in Santa Paula. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and follow-through matter. The AR/AP Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting support functions including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, account reconciliations, and administrative financial tasks related to construction operations. This is a full-time, on-site position in Santa Paula (not remote). Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments Generate customer invoices and manage accounts receivable collections Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts Track purchase orders, subcontractor invoices, and project-related expenses Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Assist with month-end reporting and accounting support Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal project managers regarding billing and payment issues Ensure compliance with company procedures and deadlines Support payroll and administrative accounting tasks as needed Qualifications 2-5+ years of AR/AP or bookkeeping experience Construction industry experience preferred Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial organization Experience with Acumatica, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software preferred Proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe, Microsoft Excel and general computer systems Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and follow-up skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compensation & Benefits $26-$30/hour based on experience Dental and health insurance benefits
