Job Description
We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support a collaborative finance team in Santa Rosa, California. This Long-term Contract position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys accurate, hands-on accounting work and can contribute across core financial processes. The role will focus on journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger support while also assisting with accounts payable, month-end tasks, and audit documentation as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Record and post journal entries in Microsoft Dynamics 365 while maintaining accurate financial data.
- Reconcile balance sheet and other assigned accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with general ledger activities and contribute to month-end closing tasks to support accurate financial reporting.
- Review invoices, backup documents, and other financial records to confirm completeness and accuracy before processing.
- Provide schedules and supporting materials for audits and help maintain organized, audit-ready documentation.
- Support accounts payable workflows using tools such as Concur and Softlink, including invoice-related processing and verification.
- Partner with accounting colleagues to provide coverage across functions and help maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
- Contribute to ad hoc accounting assignments and special projects based on team priorities.
- Examine financial data for consistency and escalate issues when information appears incomplete or incorrect.
