Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse clients, including non-profit organizations, and utilize advanced accounting software to support organizational financial health. Responsibilities Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and financial reports in accordance with GAAP standards Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting activities Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation activities Support governmental accounting requirements when applicable Maintain accurate records of debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis Prepare financial reports including budgets, financial statements, and other documentation as needed Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulations Skills Strong understanding of GAAP, governmental accounting, and public accounting practices Experience with corporate and non-profit accounting environments Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management Familiarity with financial concepts including budgeting, account analysis, and financial report writing Ability to perform bank reconciliation and account reconciliation accurately Experience with payroll processing and tax-related activities is a plus Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail; proficiency in 10 key typing required Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively Education/Experience 3 years bookkeeping experience and/or 4 year degree in accounting, business or a related field required. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about maintaining precise financial records and supporting organizational success through effective bookkeeping practices.
