Job Description

Experienced Bookkeeper Full-Time | In-Office About Us Prosperent Co is a CPA model firm providing Personal CFO services for high-net-worth business owners. We're a fast-paced, tech-savvy, paperless office, and we keep things simple. About the Role We're looking for an experienced bookkeeper for our growing firm — handling the ongoing bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll for our clients, overseeing our outsourced bookkeeping teams, and taking on a growing role in tax preparation. This is a client-facing role — you'll interact with clients regularly, answer their questions, and help educate them on their numbers.
Timely closings are critical:
all client books must be closed by the 10th of each month. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, consistency, and meeting deadlines matter most. What You'll Do Maintain and manage the chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Post and categorize bank feeds, credit card transactions, and manual entries (daily/weekly) Perform monthly account reconciliations for bank, credit card, and loan accounts Close all client books by the 10th of each month — timely closings are critical to this role Manage clients' payroll — processing, recording, and ensuring accuracy and compliance Manage and oversee outsourced bookkeeping teams — assigning work, reviewing output, and ensuring quality and timeliness Work directly and frequently with clients — answering questions, gathering information, and helping educate them on their numbers Flag uncategorized, duplicate, or unusual transactions for review Keep clean, audit-ready books with supporting documentation Prepare and deliver timely accounting reports Prepare tax return data, complete workpapers, and draft returns for review Coordinate with the Tax Manager to keep bookkeeping aligned with tax planning Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred CPA a plus What We're Looking For 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience with a strong focus on QuickBooks Online Payroll processing experience Experience managing or coordinating bookkeeping staff or teams preferred Tax preparation experience preferred Strong client communication skills — comfortable working directly with clients and explaining financial information clearly Ability to meet firm deadlines, including monthly close by the 10th Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable in a tech-forward, paperless environment Reliable, self-directed, and able to meet deadlines Details Full-time, in-office position W-2 employee M-F business hours Competitive pay based on experience Paid holidays, vacation, and sick pay; benefits added as the firm grows
