Job Description
General Duties and Responsibilities :
The Fiscal Assistant I provides administrative and accounting support to the Tribe's Finanace Department by assisting with daily financial operations, recordkeeping, accounts payable, payroll support, and financial reporting. Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Fiscal Assistant I helps ensure that financial records are maintained accurately, transactions are properly documented, and Tribal funds are managed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and applicable funding requirements.QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and electronic filing.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and on time.
- Willingness to learn and assist with Fiscal office activities.
Physical Requirements:

This role requires regular travel and may involve working under pressure to meet short deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple projects and tasks of varying complexity. While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively by talking and hearing. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
