Job Description

Job Summary:
The Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the company, with a primary focus on accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and e-commerce transactions. This position will maintain accurate financial records, process and reconcile payments and invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and identify and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, and chargebacks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with high-volume financial transactions in a fast-paced environment. This role works closely with the Accounting and Finance teams, as well as cross-functional departments, to maintain accurate financial records, support inventory and cost accounting functions, and ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes specific to e-Commerce transactions.
  • Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Identify discrepancies in received payments and address any issues with vendors regarding incorrectly paid invoices, inaccurate deductions, or chargebacks.
  • Follow up on overdue invoices and manage collections to ensure timely payment
  • Track and record payments received and reconcile these with outstanding invoices.
  • Review and process bills and invoices from suppliers and service providers
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and manage expense documentation
  • Support other accounting and finance team members, inventory management, and cost accounting
QUALIFICATIONS
:
  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred. Recent graduates with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field are also encouraged to apply; prior professional experience is not required for qualified recent graduates.
  • Mandarin Chinese proficiency preferred to support communication with Mandarin-speaking business partners, vendors, and/or internal teams .
  • E-commerce hands-on accounting experience is preferred.
  • Highly proficient in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Dropbox.
  • Ability to maintain company and business partner confidentiality.
  • Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting and comply with applicable financial requirements.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and accounting/ERP systems such as SAGE 100, Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment to achieve desired results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable preferred.
Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
