Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in West Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key aspects of accounts receivable, including collections, cash applications, and vendor invoice tracking. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a solid background in commercial collections.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle commercial collections, including contacting clients to resolve outstanding balances.
- Apply payments accurately to customer accounts, including credit card transactions.
- Track vendor invoices and statements to ensure proper documentation and payment.
- Perform shipping-related tasks and maintain records efficiently.
- Scan and file important documents while maintaining organized records.
- Utilize QuickBooks to assist with billing functions and account management.
- Communicate effectively with team members and vendors to address discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to financial transactions.
- Support other administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related roles.
- Proficiency in commercial collections and cash application processes.
- Experience with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage invoices, statements, and financial records.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with credit card payment processing and tracking.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial documentation.
