Job Description

Our client in Windsor, Connecticut is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong invoice processing experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcess a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and on timeReview invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests for accuracy and proper approvalMatch, batch, and code invoicesPrepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfersReconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepanciesRespond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding paymentsMaintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentationAssist with month-end close and reporting related to accounts payableSupport audits by providing requested documentationPerform data entry and other accounting support duties as needed
