Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Collections:
Follow up on outstanding invoices and payments, including contacting clients and insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies.
Payment Posting:
Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded promptly.
Account Reconciliation:
Regularly reconcile accounts receivable accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Reporting:
Generate and analyze AR reports to track outstanding balances and identify trends in collections.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, including billing, admissions, and care staff, to resolve any issues related to patient accounts.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all company policies and regulations regarding billing and collections.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families regarding billing inquiries.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
