Bookkeeper / Office Admin Southport Construction LLC - Fairfield County, CT Southport Construction LLC is seeking an experienced, organized, and dependable Bookkeeper / Office Admin to join our growing team in Fairfield County, Connecticut. We are a well-established residential construction company known for quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and a collaborative work environment. This is a dynamic, hands-on position for someone who enjoys variety and wants to play an important role in the day-to-day success and future growth of our company. While bookkeeping is an important part of the role, it represents only a portion of the position. The ideal candidate will also serve as the hub of our office—supporting project managers and field staff, coordinating with homeowners and clients, communicating with subcontractors and vendors, and helping ensure projects and office operations run smoothly from start to finish. Primary Responsibilities Bookkeeping Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Process customer invoices and vendor payments Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Process payroll and maintain payroll records Maintain company financial records in QuickBooks Prepare reports and documentation for our CPA Assist with job costing and project expense tracking Office & Project Administration Support project managers and field personnel Coordinate communication with homeowners, clients, subcontractors, and vendors Manage daily office operations and administrative tasks Organize project documentation and digital files Help keep projects on schedule by coordinating information and following up on outstanding items Visit job sites on an as-needed basis for client/sub interactions (Must have own car.) Provide general administrative support as needed Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Construction industry experience is preferred but not required What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, resourceful, growth-minded, and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
