Job Overview:
The Bookkeeper B1 Position will provide professional support for Region 9A . This role will function as a liaison with other UAW staff and affiliates and report to the Region 9A Director and Assistant Director . In this role you will manage multiple data transactions across various accounting systems employing UAW's transactional processes/payment operations: vendor data management, processing voids/reissues, wires, and checks.Job Description:
Balance and post transactions to general ledgers in multiple accounting systems with exceptional accuracy Provide meticulous administrative support with strict confidentiality Perform job duties within scheduled deadlines Function as a liaison with other department staff, UAW staff, and affiliates Know, interpret, and apply organizational policies, procedures, and protocols Assist with development, and assessment of office systems, procedures, and operations Review and process incoming correspondence and materials, as well as prepare proper communications in response.Requirements:
Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential to prioritizing daily tasks Detail-oriented individual with excellent attention to detail Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and able to work independently Flexibility to react to changing priorities High degree of accuracy with respect to data input, proofreading and editing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to troubleshoot unique situations and update other department clerical and staff Working knowledge of UAW internal systems like MyUAW and LUIS Adhere to and interpret company protocols, policies, and procedures Successfully complete the Bookkeeper Assessment with favorable scoreDaily Tasks:
Enter due diligence documentation in vendor master file. Work with internal systems (MyUAW & Local Union Information System) Create, code, and submit all regional requests for payment Maintain financial spreadsheets and recordkeeping for all expenditures including CAP, V-CAP, Regional Activity Fund, Retiree Fund, and various councils and conferences Process and record deposit forms for V-CAP checkoff contributions and regional income Compile, analyze, and reconcile expenditure reports Prepare and track staff expenses in Concur Process CAP payment requests which can include designing and submitting ads, and communicating with various organizations Daily communication with Local Unions and membership Process monthly V-CAP contributions (spreadsheets & payments) Maintain Regional V-CAP checkoff authorizations and cancellations Backup for secretarial staff Part of our selection process includes a brief clerical/bookkeeping assessment from eSkill, which is sent prior to being scheduled for an interview.Job Type:
