Entry-Level Accounting Associate (AP, GL & Payroll)

Powder Ridge is a four-season mountain resort featuring skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and special events, while Brownstone is a premier summer destination known for cliff jumping, zip lining, swimming, and water-based attractions. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Accounting Associate to join our finance team. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to develop foundational skills in accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll processes within a dynamic resort environment. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting financial operations. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP): Process invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices Maintain vendor files and respond to inquiries Assist with AP close and reporting General Ledger (GL): Prepare and post journal entries Assist with account reconciliations Support month-end and year-end closing processes Maintain accurate financial records

Payroll:

Assist in processing weekly payroll Maintain payroll records and ensure accuracy Review timekeeping and resolve discrepancies Support compliance with payroll laws and internal policies Assist in scheduling of staff Good math skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts like balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic understanding of accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred (but not required): Prior internship or accounting/payroll experience Experience with accounting or payroll systems
