Manufacturing About the Opportunity Our client, a respected and steadily growing manufacturing company in Windsor, CT, is adding an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to their accounting team. If you have a solid AP foundation and you're eager to learn more—including AR—this role offers the perfect blend of stability, growth, and hands‑on training. What You'll Do Accounts Payable - Primary Responsibilities Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Match POs, invoices, and receipts while resolving any discrepancies Manage weekly check runs and electronic payment processing Maintain complete and compliant vendor files, including W‑9s Reconcile AP aging and support month‑end close activities Accounts Receivable - Training Provided Assist with customer invoicing and cash application Support AR collections efforts with customer follow‑up Help reconcile AR aging reports Provide backup coverage during busy cycles or employee absences What We're Looking For 1-3+ years of Accounts Payable experience Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication and customer service orientation Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems A desire to learn Accounts Receivable functions and grow professionally Why You'll Love This Role Join a well‑established, financially stable organization Expand your accounting skills with on‑the‑job AR training Work with a supportive, collaborative team Enjoy strong long‑term growth potential within the department Make a meaningful impact in a role that offers both challenge and opportunity Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
