ABOUT US
Big Children's Foundation, Inc. is a 501 ( c ) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational services to at-risk youth in South Florida, particularly those in foster care group homes and shelters, which can include victims of abuse, human trafficking, and exposure to juvenile delinquency. Our specialized programs aim to improve their quality of life and reshape their futures. Our goal is to restore the health of their mind, body and spirit, teach them to be self-sufficient, and provide the academic education, skills, and professional development that will help them lead a fulfilling and successful life. Our programs build character and good morals using sound biblical principles, and teach the youth to be productive, respectful citizens in the community.POSITION SUMMARY
This is a part-time on-site bookkeeping position with approximately 10+ hours per week. The ideal candidate will be someone who is either actively working or recently held a position in accounting and is seeking supplemental part-time income, who is currently, or has worked in non-profit ministry, possesses high moral and ethical standards, and has a strong Christian faith.ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must have a minimum of 2 years direct experience in QuickBooks, particularly non-profit.
- Manage general bookkeeping duties including, but not limited to: managing revenue, expenses, bank reconciliation, general banking, deposits, updating donor information, suppliers, vendors.
- Manage accounting records, files, receipts, expenses, payables, receivables, giving programs, etc.
- Submit payroll and tax filings to accountant to be processed in a timely manner.
- Supply management.
- General office upkeep.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Quickbooks training, certification, and professional experience required.
- Four-year college degree is preferred, preferably in the fields of Business Management, Accounting, HR, or Administration.
- Will be required to attend occasional job specific trainings and workshops.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in Excel and Word.
- Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Must be non-bias, non-discriminatory, multi-cultural, respectful and kind to all.
- Must lead physically active and health-minded lifestyle, and be able to physically lift 25+ lbs.
- Must possess a positive, can-do attitude.
- Must have valid Florida driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
- Will be required to have a level-2 background screening.
HOURS, PAY, BENEFITS
10+ hours per week, flexible, Mon-Fri, 10am-5pm | $20- 22 per hour, 1099 contractor | No benefits.
Pay:
$20.00- $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0
