You will manage a variety of financial tasks, from maintaining the general ledger to preparing financial reports. Your expertise in accounting software and principles will be crucial in providing accurate financial information that supports our mission and drives our success. What you'll do Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Maintain the general ledger through meticulous journal entries and account reconciliations, adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Prepare comprehensive financial reports that provide insights into organizational performance and support strategic decision-making. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and ensure accuracy in all financial records, identifying discrepancies as needed. Manage payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and timely disbursement to employees. Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Quicken to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and insights into financial operations. Assist in budgeting processes by analyzing past performance and projecting future financial trends. Basic qualifications Proficient in double entry bookkeeping with a strong understanding of debits and credits. Experience with corporate accounting practices and non-profit accounting principles is highly desirable. Construction based processes Preferred qualifications Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus. Previous experience in public accounting or technical accounting roles is advantageous. Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct account analysis effectively.
