Accounting (A/R and A/P) Association Management

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting professional specializing in Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) Association Management to join our organization. Responsibilities Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment application, and collections to ensure timely cash flow. Oversee accounts payable functions by verifying vendor invoices, processing payments via checks or electronic transfers, and maintaining accurate records. Perform regular account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis. Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal audit requirements through diligent documentation and process adherence. Utilize various accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems to record transactions accurately. Maintain detailed records of journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial data entry tasks. Support budgeting activities by providing relevant account analysis and financial data insights. Assist with tax-related processes by preparing documentation for tax filings and ensuring adherence to governmental accounting standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on payroll management using systems like ADP, UltiPro, Ceridian, or Kronos to ensure accurate payroll processing. Conduct account reconciliation activities regularly to verify data integrity across multiple financial systems including Workday, Paychex, or other payroll/HR platforms. Contribute to continuous process improvements in financial operations by identifying efficiencies in accounts management workflows. Requirements Minimum of three years' experience in corporate accounting with a focus on A/R and A/P functions; experience in governmental or non-profit accounting is highly desirable. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms; familiarity with ADP, UltiPro, Kronos is a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX compliance standards. Knowledge of payroll management systems including Paychex or equivalent platforms. Experience with financial concepts such as journal entries, account reconciliation, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in data entry and account analysis tasks. Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately while maintaining high levels of organization. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and handling vendor or client inquiries professionally.
