This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of bookkeeping, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with various financial software, and a proactive approach to managing financial data. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and integrity of our organization through meticulous record-keeping and effective financial management. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger and adherence to double entry bookkeeping principles. Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors. Maintain and update financial software systems such as QuickBooks Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements. Handle payroll management using systems like ADP including tax filings and payroll reporting. Assist with budgeting processes, financial reporting, and supporting external audits or governmental reviews. Qualifications Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles. Familiarity with GAAP and governmental accounting standards is highly desirable. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks. Knowledge of payroll systems including ADP along with payroll management best practices. Strong data entry skills with high accuracy in 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping. Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis efficiently. Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
