Experienced Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant Full-Time | Busy, Fast-Paced Construction Company We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and highly organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, is extremely detail-oriented, and understands the importance of accuracy. We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about getting things right the first time.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting functions for our well established general contracting business. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry regulations. This is a high-volume position that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle the dynamic nature of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Enter invoices and process payments accurately Perform reconciliations Maintain financial records Prepare reports and assist with payroll as needed Answer phones and respond professionally to emails Schedule appointments and maintain office calendars Organize and maintain office files Assist with customer service and vendor communications Support daily office operations and administrative tasks Process and manage construction job costing, including tracking expenses, labor costs, and subcontractor invoices. Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely payment of bills. Required Qualifications Minimum 10 years of bookkeeping and administrative experience (Experience in a General Contractor's construction office is a huge plus) Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Experience with job costing, payroll processing, and project-based accounting. Excellent computer and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated Excellent Attendance / Dependable Professional, positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
