Accounting Manager / Business Owner ________________________________________ Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Boca Raton, Florida. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting activities, and supporting overall financial operations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, experience with accounting systems, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced business environment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements
  • Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets
  • Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
  • Track expenses, budgets, and cash flow
  • Manage vendor and customer records, including invoicing and collections
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Support tax preparation and work with external accountants as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and basic accounting principles
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy ________________________________________ Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar systems
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in small to mid-sized businesses
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax reporting
  • Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-location bookkeeping
