Job Description
The Profit Firm | Full-Time | In Office w/ 1 Day WFH Are you an experienced accounting professional who understands the "why" behind the numbers—not just the data entry? The Profit Firm is growing and seeking a Bookkeeper to manage a portfolio of 25+ small business clients. This is a true accounting role requiring strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, journal entries, payroll and QuickBooks Online. What You'll Do Manage monthly bookkeeping and accounting for 25+ client accounts Prepare and post adjusting journal entries Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet accounts Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper accounting treatment Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements Troubleshoot accounting issues and correct discrepancies Communicate directly with clients regarding financial questions and reporting Support month-end and year-end close processes Maintain organized and accurate client records in QuickBooks Online This is not a data entry position. We are looking for someone who understands debits and credits, can analyze financial statements, prepare journal entries, and identify accounting issues before they become problems. Required Qualifications 5+ years of bookkeeping and/or accounting experience Advanced QuickBooks Online experience (Required) Experience preparing and posting journal entries Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting Ability to reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts Experience managing multiple clients or entities simultaneously Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification Public accounting, CAS, or outsourced accounting experience Experience serving multiple small business clients Accounting degree or equivalent experience Why The Profit Firm?
