While our company is industrial, this is a dedicated office role responsible for the full-cycle accounting process, payroll administration, and benefits coordination using QuickBooks Enterprise and ADP .
Responsibilities Accounting Specialist :
Manage all daily financial operations in QuickBooks Enterprise , ensuring accurate ledger maintenance and financial reporting.
Payroll & Benefits:
Execute all payroll functions in ADP , including updating health insurance and disability deductions. Coordinate with providers to synchronize employee coverage. You will be responsible for onboarding new employee's, including adding to ADP, insurance, retirement and E-Verify.
Retirement Plan:
Process retirement plan contributions weekly , ensuring accurate company matching and funding.
Compliance:
Prepare and pay monthly sales tax and manage the renewal of all business and professional licenses.
Reconciliations:
Perform monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts and corporate credit cards.
Insurance Oversight:
Maintain files and timely payments for Health, Worker's Comp, Disability, and General Liability insurance. All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems Strong mathematical and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
