07/10/2026 Apply now Back to Search Accounts Receivable Specialist | $22.00-$24.00/hr | Onsite | Temp-to-Hire Job Description The Reserves Network is partnering with a growing construction-related organization in Columbus, GA, to hire an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with customers, staying organized, and taking ownership of the accounts receivable process. The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating by phone, enjoys problem-solving, and has solid Excel skills to support a high-volume AR environment. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities, research outstanding invoices, reconcile customer accounts, and support the migration of acquired company financial data into the company's ERP system. Key Responsibilities Process daily accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate customer records Review and reconcile accounts receivable reports and customer balances Maintain AR data and supporting schedules using Microsoft Excel Prepare and validate AR information prior to entry into Sage 300 Assist with integrating accounts receivable data from acquired companies into Sage Follow up with contractors and customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment status Research payment delays, retainage balances, and other billing discrepancies Communicate professionally with customers by phone to resolve outstanding account issues Support the accounting team with a growing accounts receivable workload Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely resolution of customer account questions Qualifications 2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience Comfortable making outbound calls to customers and contractors regarding outstanding invoices Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including: Basic formulas and SUM functions Inserting and deleting rows Filtering and sorting data General spreadsheet navigation and organization Experience with ERP systems; Sage 300 experience is a plus Pivot Table experience is preferred, but can be learned on the job Strong communication and customer service skills Construction industry experience is helpful but not required Your New Employer Our client is a well-established and growing construction services company that values teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
