The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks Online and spreadsheets, excellent communication skills for collaboration with an external CPA, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping best practices within the construction industry. The Bookkeeper will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting functions. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions accurately using QuickBooks Online Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections Process payroll efficiently while adhering to relevant regulations and standards Prepare and update spreadsheets to track financial data, budgets, and project costs Ensure all bookkeeping activities comply with established accounting standards and company policies Collaborate effectively with an external CPA by providing accurate financial reports and documentation as needed Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries to maintain financial integrity Assist in month-end closing procedures and prepare necessary reports for management review Skills Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably within the construction or related industry Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and strong knowledge of accounting software tools Excellent skills in managing spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger management Knowledge of accounting standards relevant to small businesses or construction firms Effective communication skills to liaise with external CPA and internal team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks accurately Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative communication with external professionals This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial health of our boutique construction company through precise bookkeeping practices.
