Owen Company, Inc. offers the opportunity to grow within an established, industry-recognized contractor. Role Description The Accounting Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Jonesboro, GA. This position is responsible for daily accounting tasks such as processing invoices, recording vendor bills, and maintaining accurate transaction records. The role includes updating and reconciling ledgers, assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The Accounting Clerk will enter data into accounting software, help maintain organized filing systems, and respond to internal and external inquiries related to payments and account status. This role works closely with the accounting and operations teams to ensure timely, accurate financial information that supports project and company needs. Qualifications Proficiency with accounting software and related digital tools. Strong bookkeeping skills, including transaction recording and ledger maintenance. Foundational knowledge of finance and accounting principles. Ability to assist with the preparation and review of basic financial statements. Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions. Ability to work on-site in Jonesboro, GA and collaborate with project and office teams. Prior experience in construction or a similar industry is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in accounting, finance, or business is a plus.
