Job Description
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (On-site) Will run a credit-criminal- drug Hardworking, self motivated, high energy, punctual and committed employee to perform accounts receivable procedures and provide back-up Reception functions in our Administrative Department. This position requires experience with a high call volume and accounts receivable environment. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Candidate needs to be able to multi-task with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and work well in a team oriented environment with a positive and pleasant demeanor.Overview of Job Function:
Position is responsible for assisting with accounting processes that may include working with all departments and customers in order to resolve problems that might delay payment of accounts. The position is also responsible for answering incoming calls and handling various administrative duties.Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
- Batch processing of checks and money orders into company system.
- Answer switchboard calls.
- Back up for reception area.
- Work the open credit/payment report for ALL Divisions to ensure that credits and payments are applied correctly Research and process customer refund when necessary.
- Assist with processing welcome letters and any outgoing mail to customers, including signs and brochures.
- Assist with company mail distribution and customer mailings.
- Update customer payment information received from website
- Work with ALL Departments to resolve customer issues.
- Other office related and billing dept tasks as assigned by manager.
- Serve our customers' needs—spoken or unspoken—promptly and with care, even when those needs fall outside your typical responsibilities.
- Take ownership of the customer experience to ensure their needs are fully met.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree is a plus ~ 1-3 years working in an accounts receivable or accounting position.
- Strong communication ability to deal with customers in a professional yet aggressive manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent time management and the ability to multi task; organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work as needed for mid-month, month end/ quarter-end requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
