Part-time Office/Accounting Assistant (PTACCTOFF) A well-established local restaurant in Kona is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office / Accounting Assistant to support daily administrative and accounting operations at their office location. This is a part-time front-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of customer interaction and back-office accounting support. You'll be the first point of contact for visitors while also playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and weekly reporting. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage recurring weekly deadlines. If this sounds like you, we'd love to talk with you more! Hours Part-time, Monday-Friday 8am-12pm or 9am-1pm Location Kailua-Kona, Big Island Pay $30 an hour Responsibilities Greet and assist visitors, clients, and staff in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk. Manage incoming mail, including sorting and distributing daily correspondence. Prepare and complete bank deposits, including checks and weekly restaurant cash deposits. Enter vendor bills from email into QuickBooks accurately and in a timely manner. Process weekly bill payments following approval procedures. Perform weekly cash counts and handle deposits for restaurant operations. Prepare and manage recurring financial and operational reports. Maintain organized financial and administrative records. Provide general administrative support as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in administrative, front desk, or office support roles preferred. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. Comfortable handling financial tasks such as data entry, deposits, and basic bookkeeping. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus. Proficient in email and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset. Ability to manage recurring weekly deadlines and multitask effectively. Trustworthy and able to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
