Accounts Payable Clerk

Down to Earth is looking for an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk III to join our Accounting team. This full-time position reports directly to the Assistant CFO and plays an important role in ensuring invoices, payments, reconciliations, and vendor accounts are handled accurately and on time. The role also supports bookkeeping functions, vendor communication, and general office operations. We are looking for someone who: Has strong accounts payable and bookkeeping experience Is highly organized and accurate with data entry and invoice processing Communicates professionally with vendors and team members Works well independently and follows through on deadlines Is proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and general accounting systems Brings a positive attitude and works well as part of a team Experience in accounts payable is required, and prior grocery retail or multi-location accounting experience is a plus. Key Responsibilities Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports. Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts. Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain vendor files. Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments. Resolve invoice discrepancies and correspond with vendors and internal departments. Assist with month-end closing and provide supporting documentation for audits.
