Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. In this important role, you will manage the complete spectrum of bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial records. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health by maintaining precise general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, and overseeing payroll and accounts payable processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical accounting skills and contribute to the smooth operation of our financial systems. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping activities, including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations for multiple entities. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports with accuracy and attention to detail. Administer payroll management using systems through QuickBooks, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and company policies. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and review account activity for discrepancies or irregularities. Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and audit preparations; support internal controls including SOX compliance. Utilize QuickBooks accounting software to streamline financial operations. Perform data entry with precision, double-entry bookkeeping methods to ensure data integrity. Requirements Proven experience in full charge bookkeeping within a small corporate setting. Strong knowledge of GAAP standards, SOX compliance, and technical accounting concepts. Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software. Experience managing payroll systems with QuickBooks; familiarity with payroll management processes. Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently; experience with balance sheet reconciliation is preferred. Excellent understanding of accounts payable/receivable procedures and general ledger accounting practices. Strong math skills for account analysis and credit evaluation. Attention to detail in data entry; ability to perform 10 key typing quickly and accurately. Knowledge of financial concepts related to budgeting, tax preparation, journal entries, debits & credits, and financial software tools.
