Job Description
RTI offers high-speed internet and phone services in rural areas across Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada. General Summary Performs various accounting functions, primarily responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes. Review invoices for accuracy, vouch invoices to supporting documents and purchase orders, ascertain proper level of authorization, record expenses and make payments in a timely fashion and maintain accurate financial records. This role provides essential support to the accounting department by managing daily bookkeeping, data entry, and basic accounting tasks. This role requires high attention to detail, a strong understanding of financial concepts, technical accounting skills, and proficiency in financial software. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process and reconcile vendor invoices, auditing for accuracy and entering data into the appropriate accounting software, per company policies and procedures. Communicating with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing or payment discrepancies. Utilize financial software such as Riata for data entry, posting financial transactions, journal entries and general reporting. Organizing and maintaining financial documents for audits and reviews. Timely printing of checks, obtaining signature(s), and mailing checks to vendors and employees, and processing EFT payments. Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts and expense reports. Assisting with monthly/quarterly closings, budget preparation, and preparing financial reports. Assist in benefits administration and payroll management as needed. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth processing of payments and resolve any issues that arise. Prepare reports on accounts payable activities for management review. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Work as a team member, implementing good verbal and written skills. Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and basic data retrieval from the AS400 system.

Skills, Knowledge, Education And Experience High school diploma or GED certificate required. Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred. Strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting principles preferred. Mathematical and analytical skills for reconciliations and reporting. Data entry accuracy and familiarity with Excel spreadsheets. Attention to detail in processing invoices and maintaining records. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in financial software, particularly Riata, AS400 and other platforms preferred. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.- Team Player skills

Working Conditions Job Type:
Full-time Work hours: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Physical Demands and Environmental Factors Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day. Twisting, lifting, walking, climb stairs and standing.Benefits:
