Job Description

Job Summary ToreUp is a locally owned secure document destruction company providing mobile shredding services to businesses throughout the area. We take pride in reliability, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Office Assitant/Bookkeeper to help support daily office operations and financial organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and software. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring smooth office operations. This position is perfect for someone looking to contribute to a collaborative environment while honing their accounting skills. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations using Quickbooks Online Prepare journal entries, process payroll, and assist with tax-related documentation and filings Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and assisting in financial report writing Maintain organized records of financial transactions, invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation Run monthly and quarterly financial and operational reports Answer phones and assist customers professionally Assist with day-to-day office operations as needed Skills Proficiency in Quickbooks online is required Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing Familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting, financial report writing, and account analysis Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping Comfortable working independently in a small business environment What we're looking for We are looking for someone who: Notices details without being micromanaged Understands how important accurate bookkeeping is to a growing business Can communicate professionally with customers and team members Enjoys keeping things organized and running smoothly behind the scenes Benefits Flexible part-time schedule (Approximately 20-25 hours per week) Family oriented work environment Stable long-term opportunity
