Job Description

About the role : The Bookkeeper will join the Sr. Director of Finance as part of the organization's accounting, finance, and business administration function. The Bookkeeper will assist in month-end closing procedures, helping with accounting entries, managing outsourced accounts payable, contacting vendors, assisting with fixed asset schedules, other financial duties, administrative support to the Sr. Director of Finance, and serving as a helpful accounting internal resource to our staff.
Key responsibilities:
Accounting:
Post journal entries to the general ledger Make adjustments to expense account transactions as necessary
Accounts Payable:
Partner with outsourced accounting firm in managing all accounts payable (online banking, Bill.com) Record payments and invoices in QuickBooks Online Maintain vendor and invoice record filing Reconcile credit card transactions to QuickBooks Online Contact vendors when necessary
Administration:
Manage finance department email inbox used by vendors and staff Assist Sr. Director of Finance in ad hoc tasks and projects related to business administration, vendor relationships, filing of various registrations and paperwork, and other tasks Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the organization's operations Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is a participant in a local church Maintains a consistent life-affirming philosophy and would never refer or advise a woman to have an abortion Agree with and be willing to uphold Caring Network's Statements of Faith and Principle and Core Values 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred Experience working in a financial accounting software required; QuickBooks Online preferred Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially a proficiency in
