$18.00 to $28.00 Sievers Equipment Co. is a family-owned agricultural and construction dealer and is currently seeking a Bookkeeper for our Hamel, IL location. Position Summary:
This position is responsible for recording daily financial transactions, business office functions and assisting the accounting department. This position is expected to work 40 hours per week. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned:
1. Record daily financial transactions 2. Process banking transactions 3. Reconcile bank statements 4. Verify general ledger accounts 5. Handle accounts payable 6. Pay vendor bills 7. Balance and process all cash and banking transactions 8. Cash reconciliation 9. Check End of Day and correct any discrepancies promptly 10. Balance reports

Ability to walk up and down a flight of stairs Ability to get around the dealership and grounds for various tasks. Normally lift or move 10 lbs and occasionally lifts or move up to 30 lbs. Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to operate office equipment as necessary. While performing the duties of the job, the employee will perform extensive keystroke tasks. Skills Required High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years related bookkeeping or accounting experience with a steady work record Accounting experience preferred Perform AR/AP, reconcile General Ledger accounts, process invoices and batch for approval Process and reconcile cash, banking, petty cash, credit card (Visa) and case credit transactions Maintain customer information, run reports Strong customer service, communication skills, and professional demeanor Ability to set work priorities, work independently, and follow oral and written directions Perform each of the essential position functions.
