Job Description

ESC has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to support a fast-paced manufacturing team within a dynamic production environment in Richmond, IN . This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a high-volume environment and enjoys balancing accounting responsibilities with inventory, production reporting, and operational support. The Accounting Clerk will play a key role in maintaining production reporting, inventory records, invoicing, and day-to-day accounting activities within a manufacturing environment. This individual will work cross-functionally with operations, shipping, receiving, and finance teams to ensure data accuracy, support reporting processes, and maintain efficient administrative workflows.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
Production Reporting & Inventory Management Input production and material usage information into ERP systems using manufacturing documentation and production records Review and audit production paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness Investigate and explain variances related to key production and operational metrics Support and train production personnel on proper documentation and reporting procedures Enter, review, and audit inventory adjustments generated from cycle count activities Assist with inventory management processes and support inventory accuracy initiatives Accounting & Financial Support Process daily customer invoicing activities accurately and in a timely manner Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Perform accounting and clerical procedures requiring knowledge of accounting practices and classifications Assist with billing activities, reconciliations, and special accounting projects Support data gathering and reporting efforts across finance and operations teams Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Operations, Shipping, Receiving, and Accounting teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow efficiency Gather and validate accounting and operational information from various departments Assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies or process-related issues Administrative & Operational Support Maintain information files and support document management activities including filing, scanning, copying, and processing paperwork Support day-to-day administrative responsibilities within a small accounting team environment Assist with additional duties and projects as assigned
Must Have Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred 1-2+ years of accounting, administrative, or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced proficiency in Excel Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar platforms Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills Nice to

Experience with inventory reporting or manufacturing production data Exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, or billing processes Experience supporting production or operations teams in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with cycle count processes and inventory management procedures Experience working in union or production-based environments
