Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a service-based company in Zionsville, Indiana through a Long-term Contract assignment. This onsite position offers a steady part-time schedule during regular business hours and is well suited for someone who can quickly step in and manage payables with accuracy and consistency. The role will focus on maintaining smooth invoice processing, resolving payment issues, and keeping vendor records organized in a fast-moving office environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a high volume of incoming invoices and enter payment details accurately within required timelines.
  • Review billing documents against purchase orders and receiving records to confirm completeness and proper approval.
  • Investigate statement differences, communicate with vendors as needed, and resolve outstanding account issues promptly.
  • Coordinate weekly payment activity, including check processing and ACH transactions, while maintaining accurate supporting records.
  • Assist with account cleanup efforts by organizing payable files, updating documentation, and correcting incomplete entries.
  • Apply appropriate account coding to invoices to support accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Work independently within an onsite office setting while maintaining a consistent schedule and dependable turnaround times.
