Job DescriptionJob Description Construction Accounting Specialist - Position Overview This role focuses on maintaining accurate, consistent, and audit‐ready accounting records to support both company operations and bonding/financial reviews. The position works closely with ownership and office staff and plays a key role in strengthening our accounting processes as the company continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation Responsible for either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable , including subcontractor billings as applicable Support job cost accounting , progress billing, and retainage tracking Assist with monthly close and preparation of clean financial information for bonding and financial reviews Work within construction accounting software (Foundation preferred; similar systems acceptable) Help identify and improve accounting processes to create consistency and reliability What We're Looking For Accounting experience with a strong preference for construction environments Familiarity with job costing, WIP schedules, and subcontractor AIA billings Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Self‐motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a family‐owned business Able to work independently while collaborating with ownership and office staff Why This Role This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on construction accounting, values accuracy and organization, and wants to be part of a stable, growing company where their work has a direct impact.
