Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dealership Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining compliance with financial policies and regulations. Responsibilities Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly Prepare and record journal entries related to accounts payable transactions Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as Dealer Track Ensure adherence to SOX compliance standards and GAAP principles in all financial activities Manage data entry tasks with high accuracy, including 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable and general ledger reconciliation Support benefits administration and payroll management processes as needed Collaborate with internal departments, including HRIS systems like UltiPro or ADP, for seamless financial operations Conduct analysis of accounts payable data to identify trends or issues requiring attention Requirements Proven experience with accounting DMS software Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting Experience with accounts payable and receivable Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail in data entry and account reconciliation tasks Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of GAAP principles and technical accounting practices Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments including human resources and finance teams This position provides an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking an energizing accounting environment while contributing to the organization's financial integrity.
