Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a growing organization in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can manage the full bookkeeping cycle with accuracy, strong judgment, and a hands-on approach. The right candidate will bring deep experience across payables, receivables, payroll, and reconciliations while helping maintain reliable financial records and reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee complete bookkeeping activities, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and maintained in an organized manner.
  • Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and manage check runs to keep accounts payable current and compliant.
  • Monitor incoming payments, issue customer invoices, and follow up on outstanding balances to support healthy accounts receivable activity.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet items to confirm the accuracy of financial records.
  • Administer full-cycle payroll, including timely processing, deduction tracking, and payroll record maintenance.
  • Manage electronic billing procedures and coordinate invoice distribution to customers through appropriate systems.
  • Maintain accounting records in QuickBooks and generate routine financial information for internal review.
  • Assist with month-end close tasks by reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and preparing supporting documentation.
