Accounting Representative

Job DescriptionJob Description TFG is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Representative to support daily finance operations at our Metairie, Louisiana office. This role is well suited for an accounting professional with hands-on experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable , who can work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong customer and vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable payments and expense transactions Manage accounts receivable aging reports and monitor delinquent accounts Conduct consistent follow-up on outstanding balances and collections Communicate professionally with customers and vendors via phone and email regarding billing and payment inquiries Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records and accounting databases Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve processes Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a plus Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and basic accounting principles Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and mathematical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Proficient in Google Workspace applications Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach Who We Are Total Foodservice Group (TFG) is a dedicated team of experts from various industry backgrounds, focused on providing top-notch customer service for companies in the foodservice industry.
