Job Description

Accounting Associate
  • Non-Exempt
  • Full-Time
  • 8:30A-5:00P
  • M-F Under the general direction of department heads, Accounting Services Team members perform assigned tasks required to maintain our clients' financials.
This job scope includes communicating via phone and email ensuring that all administrative duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a prompt manner. Duties include office work, timely follow-up of outstanding tasks, and direct client, coworker, and vendor interaction. Strong critical thinking, organization, software, internet research, and communication skills are required.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a consistent processing of payables at all points of the workflow.
  • Field telephone calls and emails; assisting, responding, and dispatching appropriately.
  • Provide specialized support for clients and colleagues in matters of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger analytics.
  • Auditing and spot-checking various projects and day-to-day work for a layer of quality control; researching and resolving discrepancies where needed.
  • Prepare and modify documents including reports, meeting materials, presentations, letters, memos, and emails.
  • Perform all other related duties required to maintain the company's core function, including but not limited to: mailing, scanning, copying, filing, data entry, general support for visitors, contractors, and clients, maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems, track the secure delivery and return receipt of client and corporate key systems.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Previous accounting experience necessary
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook is required
  • Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
  • Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally
  • Interpersonal, teamwork, and collaborative skills
  • Strong research, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Meticulously detail oriented with good analytical and prioritization skills a must
  • Extremely organized with strong multi-tasking and time-management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks with superb accuracy and achieve deadlines under pressure
  • Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
