Job Description
Accounting Associate
- Non-Exempt
- Full-Time
- 8:30A-5:00P
- M-F Under the general direction of department heads, Accounting Services Team members perform assigned tasks required to maintain our clients' financials.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain a consistent processing of payables at all points of the workflow.
- Field telephone calls and emails; assisting, responding, and dispatching appropriately.
- Provide specialized support for clients and colleagues in matters of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger analytics.
- Auditing and spot-checking various projects and day-to-day work for a layer of quality control; researching and resolving discrepancies where needed.
- Prepare and modify documents including reports, meeting materials, presentations, letters, memos, and emails.
- Perform all other related duties required to maintain the company's core function, including but not limited to: mailing, scanning, copying, filing, data entry, general support for visitors, contractors, and clients, maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems, track the secure delivery and return receipt of client and corporate key systems.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Previous accounting experience necessary
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook is required
- Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
- Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally
- Interpersonal, teamwork, and collaborative skills
- Strong research, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Meticulously detail oriented with good analytical and prioritization skills a must
- Extremely organized with strong multi-tasking and time-management skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks with superb accuracy and achieve deadlines under pressure
- Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
